David Archuleta was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico on May 5, 1981. He then went to Okinawa Japan in the year of 2000. He started kickboxing at the age of 18, and enjoyed a successful career winning several titles including a world title. After winning his world title, David decided to pursue a music career and released 5 albums in the country of Japan. He retired from the entertainment industry in December 2006. As of 2008, he is studying to a Medical Doctor at the University of New Mexico.
