"No Scrubs" is a hit song recorded by R&B girl group TLC for their album Fanmail. Released as the album's first single, "No Scrubs" reached the Top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100 on February 16, 1999 and eventually became TLC's third number-one single on March 30, 1999. TLC got their second Grammy nomination for Record of the Year but lost again, this time to Santana's "Smooth". The single is generally considered to be one of the group's signature songs and was the 2nd biggest Hot 100 single of 1999, according to Billboard's Year End Charts. The song won a Grammy Award in 1999 for Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals.
